Where to start?  We’ve all heard that soy is a health food – a great source of protein, a substitute for meat and milk.  It is the backbone of a vegetarian diet and has launched a whole new wave of “health foods”. 

Unfortunately most of these new creations are not healthy and in many cases one could argue if they are even food!  The truth is that soy consumption is hazardous to your health. 

Many people have this belief that new technology is better because, well, it’s new technology.

But sometimes, new isn’t better – it’s just new.

In this concluding installment of this series we will look at the questionable use and safety of mammograms and mastectomies, the over-use of screening for breast cancer, the lack of real progress in breast cancer prevention and cure, some natural prevention and cures that do work, and some alternative charities and foundations which are not controlled by those who profit from and cause cancer.

Is your cell phone a death machine?

The studies are starting to add up, and they all point in the same direction: Cell phones emit harmful radiation that can cause cancer and infertility. And we still have no idea what these things will do to all the kids now growing up with one practically implanted in their ears.

You know fiber‘s good for you. It keeps the pipes running smoothly and keeps the laxatives on the shelf. Plus, according to many well-known studies, fiber helps protect you against colon cancer.

But what about breast cancer? Does eating plenty of fiber play a role in preventing breast cancer as well?

In this installment of the series we will examine the role of government institutions and the misdirected research into the real causes, prevention and cures for breast cancer.

What has prompted me to write it is the recent death of my sister who at 64 years of age was 2 years older than me.

Bisphenol A was first synthesized in 1905 and since the 1930’s there have been health concerns over BPA and animal consumption.  BPA, due to its estrogenic activity in the body, was expected by the pharmaceutical industry to be used as an estrogen replacement medication in humans. 

In this second installment of the series we will take a look at the some of the other foundations and charities that have become involved in Breast Cancer Awareness, including The American Cancer Society - "the world’s wealthiest non-profit organization".
