Your Body was Created to Heal and Rebuild Itself

     Good health is far more than the absence of disease. When we are healthy all our bodily functions are harmoniously balanced and integrated with each other and we are in balance with our environment. Good health depends on several interconnected factors. First there is the body’s structural system, including the muscles, bones, ligaments, nerves, blood vessels, organs and their functions. Second is the body’s biochemical processes, involving absorption and utilization of nutrients and elimination of wastes. The third comprises the mind, emotions and spiritual dimension of the person.

      When we are in a state of good health, if we cut ourselves, get bruised or have a broken bone the body starts healing immediately. If we are exposed to infection our immune system deals with it. The body has a natural tendency towards repairing and healing itself. To maintain good health it is important to recognize that symptoms are actually the way our body lets us know that something is just not right. Symptoms give us the opportunity to help ourselves, but   treating symptoms with drugs only make the problem worse. Covering up the problem doesn’t help. When we get to the real reason we developed a health problem, then we can make the changes necessary to create good health.

     Even very serious diseases like cancer, heart disease and diabetes can be completely healed when a person is willing to take responsibility for their health and practice the good lifestyle habits that will support the body to be able to heal itself. Several areas are important to address when working to create good health. One of the most important is to take in optimum nutrition. Your body was created to heal and rebuild itself and nutrition is where your body gets what it needs to do the job. Organic raw and living foods will give you the super-charged enzymes, vitamins and minerals your body craves to do its healing and regenerating work. Cooking destroys enzymes and compromises the vitamins and minerals. So, even if you are eating the highest grade of organic produce possible, if you are cooking it, you are not getting everything the food is capable of giving you.

     The foods and liquids we consume, along with the air we breathe, have a fundamental effect on our well-being. A healthy diet of pesticide-free fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seeds and nuts along with sea vegetables can supply us with all the essential nutrients our bodies require for optimum efficiency, energy, and freedom from disease.

     When we follow Hippocrates suggestion to let food be our medicine and medicine be our food we are investing in a healthy future. It is, however, very important to learn exactly which foods best serve you as each person is unique and each health challenge needs particular nutrition to create healthy results.

     An easy way to get some optimum nutrition in your body everyday is with fresh vegetable and fruit smoothies. They are quick and easy to prepare and because they are blended they are easy to digest.

Make It Green Smoothie

  • 4 cups dark leafy greens
  • 1 cup sunflower or broccoli sprouts
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 granny smith apple
  • 1 Tbs. sea vegetables
  • Filtered alkaline water

     Blend everything in the Vita-Mix and drink it all!

Excellent article, now we are talking about mitochondria, our bodies were designed by a Master designer take an involuntary organ that its main function is to pump blood every micron of the day, then we have our voluntary ones that we can control, my hat’s off to our liver with over 300 functions and able to repair itself, now here is the clincher because of so much pollution, added junk in processed food, over medication, tons of bad sugar, I can go on and on but this is enough for now, we have to give our system a break and start eating smart, and the number one priority should be to take better care of our drinking water, this alone would diminish many of our health problems, one hint, smart people in Europe got rid of FLUORIDE in their drinking water.
